Monday, Roberto and Sarah woke very early to catch their plane home. Unfortunately the plane did not go smoothly. Mechanical issues in Madrid delayed the flight and Roberto and Sarah missed their connection to Dulles. Belgium Airlines paid for a hotel room, food and booked us to fly on Tuesday. With a few hours and an extra night Roberto and Sarah rode the train into Grand-Place and spent 4-5 hours walking around. There are both the old and modern areas of central Brussels within walking distance of the train stop. They purchased a change of clothes at Zara and Belgium chocolates for gifts. For dinner Roberto and Sarah shared 2 kilos of mussels, beer, frites with mayo in an outdoor cafe on a busy restaurant filled street.
