Friday we drive to Barcelona and beyond Cabris! And see the cousins!
It was a long drive to Calbris from Valencia, Dominique slept most of the way, and Diego read his summer reading. The highway in Barcelona was surprisingly complex, we missed a few exits but found our way.
The house is beautiful, with beautiful views of the city and ocean. We met Ilana and her kids at the house. The kids found their rooms, unfortunately the boys did not like theirs. The house has a lovely infinity pool, ping pong table, automatic blinds and many remotes for the tv and blinds.
We drove down to the beach and had dinner at a beach Chiringuito (a small restaurant). Tapas, sangria for the adults and Mojitos for the kids… the staff made a mistake and made them “adult” mojitos first, and very strong at that! We corrected that quickly!
Dinner at Xiringuito Al Faru at the beach in Vilassar del Mar. Great Xiringuito, tapas and cocktails, very bohemian lounge, felt a bit like Burning Man on the Spanish coast

Food
Lunch at a food stop at the side of the road (Medas)… even this was better than standard American food.Dinner at Xiringuito Al Faru at the beach in Vilassar del Mar. Great Xiringuito, tapas and cocktails, very bohemian lounge, felt a bit like Burning Man on the Spanish coast
